SanglimSoft Shorts Publisher (the "Tool") is a command-line tool used only internally by SangLimSoft (the "Company") to upload videos to YouTube channels owned by the Company and to manage the descriptions and thumbnails of those videos. The Tool is not distributed or sold externally and is used only by the Company's operators.
1. Use of YouTube API Services
The Tool uses YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API v3). By using the Tool, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). The Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy) also applies to information processed through YouTube API Services.
2. Information Accessed and Used
When an operator grants permission with a Google account (OAuth 2.0), the Tool accesses the following information.
- The YouTube channel identifier and channel name of the account that granted permission
- The identifier, title, description, tags, category, default language and privacy status of videos on that channel
- Video files uploaded by the Tool and their title, description, category, privacy status and thumbnail image
This information is used only to upload videos, edit descriptions and replace thumbnails. The Tool does not access information about other users such as viewers, subscribers or commenters.
3. Information Stored and Retention
- Credentials (the refresh token issued by Google and the Tool's client identifiers): stored only in the keychain of the operator's computer and never sent to Company servers or third parties. Kept until permission is revoked or the operator deletes them.
- Pre-edit backups: before editing a video description, the Tool saves that video's title, description, tags, category and default language as a file on the operator's computer, so that a mistaken edit can be reverted. Each time it runs, the Tool deletes backup files more than 30 days old.
- Other information retrieved is only displayed on screen during the task and is not saved to files.
4. Provision and Sharing
The Company does not provide information processed by the Tool to any third party other than the Company's operators. The only data the Tool sends outside is API requests to Google (YouTube) needed to perform the functions in Section 2.
5. Advertising and Cookies
The Tool does not display advertising and does not allow third parties to serve advertising. The Tool does not use cookies. The only things the Tool stores on the operator's computer are the credentials and backup files in Section 3.
6. Revoking Access and Deletion
Access can be revoked at any time in the Google account security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Once revoked, the Tool can no longer access the channel. On request to the contact below, the Company will delete the credentials and backup files stored by the Tool.
7. Terms of Use
- The Tool is used only for YouTube channels owned by, or managed with authority by, the Company.
- Anyone using the Tool agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and uploads only content that complies with those terms and the YouTube Community Guidelines.
- The Tool is an internal tool provided as is, and the Company makes no warranty regarding upload delays or failures caused by errors in the Tool or by outages or policy changes of YouTube API Services. This does not apply to damage caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence, or where the law prohibits such disclaimers.
